Operation Bush Watch II
W's coming to town and your humle correspondent is on the prez beat again (sort of again). The commander in chief is taking a break from the recently chaotic Crawford, Texas for a little r and r in beautiful Donnelly, Id., before giving a speech in Nampa (city motto: What a Place to Live!).
The plan is to fly to D-town in Marine One, grab a drink with George, do a little mountain biking and talk about chicks. You know, guy shit.
Actually, much like my first Bush story (you would know what I'm talking about if you had read my last post), the plan is to probably to not see him at all. He'll be at Tamarack Resort, which has been shut down to all media, even the White House press corps, so it sounds like I'll mainly be talking to town folk trying to find out where the prez had coffee and how much he tipped.
It's his first visit to Idaho but his tardiness is understandable — Idaho hasn't voted for a Democratic presidential candidate since Lyndon Johnson, so there wasn't much drama (not to mention that a population of 1.3 million people doesn't exactly make us a swing state).
