Semper Fi!
Drop your cocks and grab your socks, it's time to head to boot camp. Well, sort of. I've been a little AWOL recently and I likely will be for the next week as Joeja and I are deployed to the East Coast for a military mission. Through my unending charm, guile and a well-placed bribe, I convinced my paper to send me east to start a project on an Idaho Marine who lost his leg in a roadside bombing in Iraq and is now rehabbing at Walter Reed hospital in D.C.
First however, we're headed to the Dirty South, to cover several Idaho Marine battalions as they return from Iraq, landing at Camp Lejeune in beautiful (so I've heard) coastal North Carolina. And there's no r and r for the wicked: as soon as we're done in N.C. we fly to D.C. at 0600 for four days before heading back west and demobilizing in Boise.
